Kevin Barrett Named Postlight Partner

We’re very happy to announce that Kevin Barrett is now a partner at Postlight.

Kevin joined Postlight shortly after it was founded in late 2015, and has led engineering teams and some of our marquee client engagements, including with the MTA and National Audubon Society.

Kevin has been a standout leader in our engineering group for years, helping to define and uphold the values of quality and empathy that guide the team. Kevin’s technical chops and professional service instincts exemplify how Postlight brings thoughtful engineering expertise to our clients.

Beyond his technical architecture and programming abilities, Kevin is an extraordinary communicator. He is a novelist and storyteller who can explain complex technical issues in clear, practical terms to our clients and internal teams. His code reviews are so detailed, educational, and well written that we’ve inducted one into our Hall of Fame — we include it as required reading when we onboard new engineers!

Before Postlight, Kevin worked as a mobile developer in the early days of the App Store and founded a mobile development company. He consulted with several organizations and helped them ship mobile apps on iOS and launched an anonymous social network called Airendipity. Read about what he learned from that experience here.
